Vik Nathan President
Vik is a United States Marine. Born in Chennai, India and raised in the US. Brought up in the Hindu faith, but never satisfied, he found the answers to his questions when he found Jesus Christ a few years ago. Then fast forward to 2017, Vik was spiritually attacked, pushed and left for dead, but our Father said no, you are my son and I have plans for you! Vik was rushed into emergency brain surgery with 2 hematomas and expected to be there for 3 months, but walked out on the 5th day. 6 months later, Vik had a seizure while driving on the highway and was saved again. Vik cannot get over being saved and therefore lives, breathes and praises our Father every moment of every day! Jesus walks and talks with him. He guides his life and Vik will tell you that He is the way, the truth, and the light!
Debbie King Secretary
Debbie was born and raised in California and has a background in the real estate/mortgage/title and escrow industry. She raised 2 boys and has been married 4 times, but don’t let that throw you! Her experiences have shaped and molded her the way God intended. Without the life circumstances and hardships that she’s had to go through, she wouldn’t be able to understand the challenges, feelings and emotions that others are dealing with! Debbie has explored different spiritual paths but has always been searching to fill the void. It wasn’t until she started attending Gateway Church in Southlake that everything started really falling into place. He has led her down this path and only through Faith has she been able to stay the course.
Vik and Debbie have been married 14 years in June, 2020. It’s been a roller coaster ride to say the least…..lol! Marrying someone from a different ethnicity brings its own set of challenges. Let’s just say the “family” on Vik’s side is not open-minded nor are they accepting of inter-racial marriages, at least for the first 7 years. 🙂 Not to mention there is a 22 year age difference!
So, we have a unique story that makes us blessed by Papa God as He has called us to this Unity. He has opened so many doors and poured out so many blessings onto us. As it states in Hebrews 11:1, ‘Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.’ We are obeying His will.
Mike Salom Director
Mike was born in Havana, Cuba and grew up in Miami, where all Cuban’s come from. While he did grow up in Miami, it never really felt like home and he was always wandering to move out of state. He met Giselle over 20 years ago in South Florida, one week before Giselle’s move to Texas. A month later Mike moved to McKinney, TX where they bought their first home. They always felt like they had know each other from somewhere in their past but could never match anything up. Six months later they were married. Mike is a certified Life Coach and has been working in Digital Marketing and Search Engine Optimization for over 18 years. About five years after their marriage some of those generic marriage problems started to raise their ugly little heads. If it hadn’t been for their pastor’s push for men’s conferences, spiritual male leadership in the house and strong spiritual warrior mentality, things would be very different today and they may not have the same strong marriage they have today. It is this experience that makes Mike feel truly blessed in the relationship he has with his wife and enjoys helping couples resolve and reunite from their disputes.
Giselle Salom Director
Giselle was raised between the US and Brazil, learning English and Portuguese at the same time. Learning both cultures, and how to communicate with people of all places, her creativity, and analytical way of seeing things led to a career in Strategic Marketing, in global and visionary projects. She’s always enjoyed public speaking which came in handy in presenting to global customers and large audiences, which soon enough led into evangelism and preaching.
The Lord caught her heart at a young age through her mother’s faith, and she’s been growing and diving in ever since. She found herself standing up for those that didn’t know how to, which led her to unite her love for traveling to Mission Trips all over the world. She has preached the gospel and prayed with people all over the world, and her missionary heart won’t quit, having taken her to Mexico, Uganda, Amazon, Peru. As a passionate bold motivator, she loves Empowering people through her Life Coaching business and creating strategic alignments as God leads. With a strong personality things quickly got interesting in their marriage with a longing for a stronger bond and communication. Through faith, lots of dedication, and good Christian coaching, things are now going strong. She lives out loud for God!
Mike and Giselle have been married for over 20 years, raised twin daughters, and learned much through this process. Both of them being Latin has led to many heated discussions, whether it be about the color of paint or the more important things in life, including their marriage, everything is passionate! They enjoy pouring into the lives of others and couples, as they pray and lift them up in their walk, inspired and guided by what they’ve learned from the many curve balls life has thrown them, and what they’ve learned and grown through by the grace of God. They met, fell in love, and in one week knew it was meant to be! While they were believers when they met, their journey of growing closer to God individually has brought them closer to each other and enabled them to pour into the lives of others. They enjoy traveling and have shared the experience of mission trips and praying for others together as well.
