I thought this was an interesting title that the Holy Spirit gave me for this blog…lol!

Jesus said in Mark 7:18, “Are you so dull?” he asked. “Don’t you see that nothing enters a person from the outside can defile them?”

Then He goes on to say in verse 19, “For it doesn’t go into their heart but into their stomach, and then out of the body.” (In saying this, Jesus declared all foods clean.)”

Here comes the clincher! In Mark 7:20-23 NIV, He continues:

20 He went on: “What comes out of a person is what defiles them. 21 For it is from within, out of a person’s heart, that evil thoughts come–sexual immorality, theft, murder, 22 adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance, and folly. 23 All these evils come from inside and defile a person.”

So you see, that Jesus was talking about the heart that is within your body is where the evil comes from. You have to be careful who you surround yourself with; what you watch on TV; types of music you listen to. All of these things can get into your heart and before you know it, you are not doing the right things for your family, spouse, children, friends, etc.

You must be reading your bible, praying alone and with your family, helping and serving others. In this way you can be focused on what Jesus Christ said and God will be pleased!
