What kind of people do you keep around you and your family? When I came across this question, I was like “Oh, good question!” So, I want you to think about this…..

The types of people we associate with influence us a lot and they influence our families and life. What do you talk about? Are they encouraging you, are they talking about Jesus, do they quote scripture, are they loving, do they truly care? We need the Godly people, meaning those that walk and talk with God. These types of people will love you enough to challenge you when you are doing something that goes against your moral principles! They will encourage and let you know when you are doing what is right and good!

“As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” Proverbs 27:17 NIV 

They will, also, support your family and help you to set good examples for your children! They will pray for and with you! This is very important! These people that you do life with will care enough to listen to you and do their best to understand where you are coming from. They will seek guidance from the Holy Spirit to help guide you in the way you should go.

You have to open up and be vulnerable in order for these type of people to come into your life. These type of people are Spirit-filled children of God that He has sent out into the world to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ. You can tell by the way they lead their lives! They exude LOVE for everyone! They will do the best that they can for you and your family! They come from all walks of life.

This is the community that surrounds our life! I prayed for these kind of people. I don’t call them Christians because not everyone who is a Christian is a Spirit-filled person. There is a definite difference! The thing to remember is that does not mean they won’t get in your face at times. Oh no! They will, especially, if they have been told you are doing something you should not be doing! They will do it from a place of love, but they will hold you accountable! That is important for your salvation and if you want to survive in this world. So, pray for Spirit-filled people! Be real; open your heart; take a risk and love boldly. God is watching!!!!!!
