What does the title mean, “Do Not Grumble?”
Let’s start with the meaning of the word GRUMBLE. In Merriam-Webster it says, to mutter in discontent.
So, the word grumble means unhappiness. If we have children, and we walk around grumbling, even if it’s under our breath, they can sense that we are not happy. We are their examples, just like Jesus was and still is for us!
In Philippians 2:14-15 NIV, it reads: “14 Do everything without grumbling or arguing, 15 so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky.”
You just got home from work and it was a long day. You are greeted by your spouse and the first thing they say is ” Hi, how was your day?” How do you respond?
Well, you could say, “It’s so much better now that I’m here with all of you!” OR “It was a really tough one!” Which one do you think your family will like better?
My guess is the first one! When we start speaking life into the situations and circumstances that surround us, it is encouraging and uplifts everyone around you!
Let’s make it a practice to speak life everywhere we go and see how the atmosphere changes! Remember, God is always listening!
I hope this helps you and your marriage! You can always go to our Prayer Wall and add a prayer request. It does not need to be about marriage or a relationship. It can be about anything! It would be our pleasure to pray and stand with you!
If you need to talk with someone, please reach out to info@unitymarriageministry.org. It would bless and honor us to speak with you! REMEMBER:
WE ARE HERE FOR YOU!
