I came across this Bible Plan in the Holy Bible App about husbands and why, we as wives, need to keep them covered in prayer.
Men go through things that we, women, don’t know about and sometimes would not understand. They put up brave fronts when on the inside, they are struggling, battling complicated emotions they have no idea how to deal with OR they may be feeling like everything is falling apart.
So, a praying wife is very much needed by her husband! Perhaps, he is going through a personal trial or test, right now, that you are not aware of OR maybe, you are facing a test together. Whatever is happening, right now, you both will need Jesus, in order to persevere!
So, this prayer is the one that was in the Bible Plan and I liked it so much that I am going to use it here:
Lord, thank You that even under trials, You never allow us to become destroyed. I pray that You use any difficulty in my husband’s life for his good and Your glory. May he have the courage to rise under each one, learn from it whatever he needs to know, and see it with the proper perspective, You see in it. Go before him preventing trials, and go behind him redeeming them. Let him know that he never has to fight battles alone. In Jesus Christ’s name I pray, Amen
“Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love Him.” James 1:12 NIV
“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” Romans 8:37 NIV
“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Exodus 14:14 NIV
Lord, how many times do we try to do things without You? I repent here and now, Father! Help me to be a good wife and lovingly let him know that he needs to go before You before he can move forward. Ultimately, his decision affects the family and the future You have for us. Let both of us come before You in silence and listen to what Your will is in every situation and circumstance. Let us each talk to You and then discuss what we heard. Then, and only then, do we walk together for Your glory in Jesus Christ’s name I pray, Amen and Amen
I hope this helps you and your marriage! You can always go to our Prayer Wall and add a prayer request. It does not need to be about marriage or a relationship. It can be about anything! It would be our pleasure to pray and stand with you!
If you need to talk with someone, please reach out to info@unitymarriageministry.org. It would bless and honor us to speak with you! REMEMBER:
WE ARE HERE FOR YOU!
