Too many people get into a marriage relationship thinking it will fulfill them and complete them. What they are seeking never comes. Why? Marriage is not the answer when you are feeling desperate, alone, insecure or fearful. The missing piece, the missing link, the void, the emptiness, whatever you choose to call it, is only found when you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior!

People think they have fallen in love only to discover that their love is based on a need: a need to be wanted, a need to be valued, a need to be cared for, a need for stability. If you are honest with yourself, you think the person you are in a relationship with is going to fulfill that need. In reality, the need never gets filled and you can become more alone than before.

That’s where Jesus comes in. We all need to be saved and it’s only through Him that we get filled. Marriage cannot fill us to overflowing, only Jesus’ love can do that!

I have been married 4 times! The first 3 were big learning experiences for me! Searching was a long road and the only man to go the distance with me was Vik. We walked together searching for something to fill the void and he found Jesus for the first time, while I came back into the flock and found the nourishment I need in Jesus Christ!
