~In Genesis 2:18, 21-24 The Lord Said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.” So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs and then closed up the place with flesh. Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. The man said, “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman’, for she was taken out of man.” That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.
God created and designed marriage to be a covenant between man, woman and God. His definition means marriage is a divine institution. The implication of this truth is significant. It means that people are not free to renegotiate or redefine marriage and the family in any way they choose, but that they are called to preserve and respect what has been divinely instituted. In Matthew 19:6, Jesus said, “ So, they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
So, marriage is not a contract that you can nullify whenever you choose just because things are not going exactly the way you thought they should. No, God has a purpose and a plan for each person and each marriage. When we pray to Him, if we listen, He will reveal to you the way He wants you to go. Prayer is key! We must look to God first in everything and wait on Him for our answers. Patience is a virtue and very important. He may be teaching you or both of you something! God uses people we know and even strangers to teach us. So, maybe He’s using your spouse to bring revelation to you on something. Just because you don’t like what they did, said or the way they spoke to you, doesn’t mean you retaliate. We must come from a place of love. The way we speak to our spouse is important as they are a son/daughter of our Almighty Father. He loves them as much as He loves you. God may be trying to change your perspective and your thought process so you can understand Him better. You see, when He takes us through seasons, it is so we can help and serve others. Once we understand this, it is much easier to rejoice and praise HIM in the hard times knowing that it is for our growth and His Glory!! You will see His divine blessings as you walk the path He has laid out for you and your family. It is an amazing revelation when you come out on the other side and see what He is doing in your life!!!
Papa (what we lovingly call God) loved His creation so much and went to such extremes to ensure our happiness! What a blessing! We are so humbled, thankful and grateful for His loving kindness.
