To Forgive or Not to Forgive….

In the Bible, God tells us the parable of the king who forgave the large sums of money his servant owed him. The king had mercy on his servant. Yet, right after the king forgave him his debt, the servant went after someone who owed him money and had him thrown in jail because he could not repay him at that time, but promised he would repay as soon as he could. INJUSTICE! One of his fellow servants saw what happened and ran back to the king and told everything that had happened. The king was so angry that he had the servant thrown in jail until such a time as he could pay the king back. (Read Matthew 18:28-34)

That’s the Golden Rule, right there! Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

So sad that the servant was not able to forgive. What about you? Do you have unforgiveness in your heart? We must all check our hearts from time to time to make sure we are not harboring any unforgiveness because it will fester if not released. We don’t want to give any foothold to the devil to come in and harm us or our loved ones. You wouldn’t want to hurt your spouse or your childern just because you had unforgiveness. Yet it happens all the time. We get angry with the ones closest to us when we harbor unforgiveness!

Let go and give it to God! He will help you with your unforgiveness and heal your heart, if you let him!

I hope this helps you and your marriage! You can always go to our Prayer Wall and add a prayer request. It does not need to be about marriage or a relationship. It can be about anything! It would be our pleasure to pray and stand with you!
